1. How To Shop: Browse and shop our on line catalog. When you find items that interest you, adjust the quantity from 0 to the amount that you would like to purchase. When you have completed your selections on a particular product category page, for example, Misos, press the “Add to Order button". You may now review the purchases in your virtual shopping cart, delete selected items, change quantities, do some more shopping, or check out your order.

2. Shipping Info:
   When checking out either by “Pay By Credit Card” or “Pay By Check” you will next enter the UPS Destination Page where you will enter your country, state, and zip code information. The reason for this step is that our shopping cart is in direct communication with UPS in order to receive the correct shipping rates for your order. When ready click “continue” to go to the next page. On the UPS Shipping Options Page you may choose the type of delivery service that best suits your needs. If you are in a country outside the continental USA and are not happy with these rates you may choose to contact us using these e-mail boxes described in section 3 for further inquiry in using a different delivery service such as US Postal Service.
   
   Continuing To Check Out:
   Click “continue” to go to the Final Order Totals Page. On this page you must complete all three steps to finalize your order. Step One enter your billing and mailing information. In Step Two enter your name and credit card information along with any comments or questions you wish to express. Step Three submit your order by clicking the “Submit Secure Order” button. On the next and final Receipt Page your order and all details will be displayed in its entirety. If you wish you may print this page and keep it as your hard copy receipt. Please note that minimum order of $15 is necessary to order from Great Eastern Sun. We only accept major credit cards and certified checks/money orders in US currency please do not send any personal checks. For orders within the Continental U.S. we use UPS GROUND. For this reason we request a normal street address when possible, no P.O. Box addresses please.

3. ORDERING FROM OUTSIDE THE CONTINENTAL USA: To place an order from outside the continental United States simply place your order in the normal fashion. Once you get to the UPS Shipping Options Page then you will see what your rates would be if you choose to send your order with UPS. If you are not happy with these rates then you may back out of this area to your first list of the items that you ordered and add up the total weights. Then e-mail us at these e-mail address:

4. Credit Card Security: Rest assured, shopping with Great Eastern Sun is entirely safe. Before your credit card information leaves your computer, it is encrypted using the highest levels of encryptions available with THAWTE AUTHENTIC SITE SECURE SOCKET LAYER technology. For more information on the THAWTE DIGITAL CERTIFICATE TECHNOLOGY please visit www.thawte.com. This makes it impossible for anyone to intercept your credit card information. It is more secure than giving your credit card information over the telephone.

5. Damage Claims: Please report damage claims immediately to UPS. Do not return damaged goods to us.

6. Returns & Credits: Please make requests for returns of merchandise for any reason other than those listed above within 3 days of receiving product. Returned items must be in their original cartons, and must be in sellable condition. Please obtain prior approval before returning any merchandise. Our customers assume responsibility for freight costs on returns of non-defective merchandise.

7. Price Fluctuations: Many of our items are imported. Thus as the dollar fluctuates versus the yen and other foreign currencies, we must reserve the right to change prices without notice. These price changes, either up or down, will be minor.

8. Back Orders: If any items are out of stock at the time that your order ships, these will not automatically be backordered. Any out of stock items will need to be re-ordered once they are back in stock again.
9. Procedure for Ordering with CERTIFIED CHECK or MONEY ORDER: When you have completed your order and you are ready to check out simply click on the “Pay By Check” icon. Continue to the UPS Destination Page and enter destination info and then click “continue” and on to the UPS Shipping Options Page where you may choose the type of delivery service that suits your needs. Then click “continue” and enter the Final Order Totals Page. In the next section complete all required fields. Then proceed to the Step Three and click on the “Submit Secure Order” button. On this page you may review your order once more. You may print out this page for a hard copy receipt if you like. Please be sure to make all certified checks and money orders out to the Your Grand Total Is Amount . Also be sure to address it to:
